AboutFor those of you who aren't familiar with CF Abby, she finds examples of advice-column trainwrecks and posts her own advice in the form of snark on her site. I think the site was brilliant, but appears to have gone offline. This community is meant to take up the torch.
The idea is that members will find examples of brain damage from the various advice columns on the web (both in the original questions and the replies, both of which should be posted) and post them to the comm, then post our own 'advice' (read: snark) in letter form in the comments.
Friendly discussion in the comments is fine, but this isn't a forum for fighting, trolling or drama. Please be courteous towards each other at all times. Snark, mockery, rage, and disgust towards letter-writers and/or the columnists is fine, but not other posters. Profanity and sexually-explicit language are fine - this is an adult forum. Be aware of that.
You don't have to be childfree to join, but if the very idea of women who don't desire kids of their own (or judging people whose parenting is, let's say, less than stellar) is anathema to you, you probably won't enjoy reading this journal. Please don't troll; instead just don't read. That way everyone is happy.

Posting rules:
- The actual post should contain original advice column question and the response to it. OPs may put their reply letters in the original post or in the comments.
- Use LJ cuts when posts get lengthy.
- Put the original question, the columnist's reply, and your OP reply in different fonts to distinguish them.
- Keep your
snarkadvice in reply-letter format. - You can snark the question, the advice or both, but please don't snark each other.
- Posting material from this community to other communities is not strictly prohibited if it's to stimulate discussion along the same subject matter (e.g. other childfree groups, feminist groups, personal journals, etc). Posting material from this community drama groups or to stimulate trolling or personal attacks, and you're gone.
